Territory Sales and Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct customer visits utilizing tablet and mobile applications.

• Suggest distinctive programs and solutions tailored to customer needs.

• Articulate the overall value to satisfy customer requirements and enhance sales within current accounts.

• Execute both preventative and corrective maintenance on laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems.

• Provide emergency assistance to existing customers either via phone or in-person.

• Support the installation of equipment and solutions.

• Demonstrate the safe operation of equipment and ensure the functionality of customer operations.

• Oversee equipment, parts, and inventory to manage costs effectively.

• Manage, service, and sell to established customers including restaurants, hotels, schools, and long-term care facilities.

• Travel to Blacksburg, Salem, and neighboring regions.

• Complete field-based training along with two weeks of training at Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.

• Participate in weekend rotation, typically 1 in 11 weekends based on business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, mechanical service, customer service, food service, or a related field within the hospitality industry.

• Willingness to work overnight shifts and provide emergency assistance during nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Current and valid Driver’s License without restrictions.

• No Immigration Sponsorship is available for this role.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to push/pull as required.

• Proficiency in standing, bending, and stooping.

• Comfort working in confined spaces.

• Ability to distinguish colors, with possible accommodations for tools.

• Availability for overtime work.

• Must be able to drive a company vehicle; pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks are mandatory.

• An Associate’s degree or other advanced training or certifications is preferred.

• Previous experience in mechanical problem-solving, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical work, is preferred.
