Territory Route Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee all sites within a designated territory that lack a commercial agreement with CHEP.

• Engage with nonparticipating distributors, unfamiliar locations, and pallet recyclers through visits and calls to recover CHEP assets.

• Track and monitor the flow of assets within the assigned area.

• Negotiate and facilitate the return of CHEP pallets to the network.

• Take full responsibility for the tracking and recovery of all CHEP pallets in the territory.

• Cultivate relationships with potential customers and promote participation in the CHEP program.

• Maintain ongoing communication with the local pallet recycling community.

• Identify and report any potential illegal transactions involving CHEP assets.

• Communicate CHEP’s ownership rights and educate locations and recyclers on the processes for asset return.

• Collaborate with Logistics Coordinators, Low Volume Recovery fleets, and the Asset Protection team.

• Leverage CHEP Low Volume Recovery fleet, CHEP CDL Fleet, scheduled third-party carriers, or personal collection methods.

• Perform administrative tasks promptly and accurately.

• Identify new sales opportunities for the CHEP network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 2 years of field driving experience in route sales, operations, or customer service.

• Exceptional selling and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Capability to manage business expenses and maintain a home office.

• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. as necessary.

• Clean driving record.

• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card without restrictions.

• Proficiency in the English language is required.
