This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute established sales strategies and assess their effectiveness.
• Engage with and cultivate relationships with architects, general contractors, installers, and other stakeholders in the construction community.
• Shape the specification process and establish a strong specification presence for Nichiha products.
• Forge partnerships with general contractors and installers to enhance product visibility.
• Identify leading general contractors and promote Nichiha as the preferred cladding option.
• Collaborate with installers to position Nichiha as a revenue-generating cladding solution.
• Recognize specified or submitted projects.
• Create and manage a project pipeline in Salesforce.com.
• Monitor specified/submitted projects through to order confirmation.
• Record all activities in Salesforce.com.
• Deliver AIA/CES courses to architects and contribute to the development and enhancement of offerings.
• Provide product knowledge training to general contractors and installers.
• Coordinate market intelligence regarding products, programs, shipping, and market segments.
• Work together with Nichiha personnel to offer technical assistance, training, project initiation, dealer and contractor support, and problem-solving.
• Oversee the sales process through dealer or distribution channels.
• Collaborate with Field Technical personnel to create a trained and consistent installer network.
• Participate in regional and national promotional/trade show events.
• Assist in product development initiatives.
• Collect information on competitive activities and potential strategic objectives.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a B2B context (experience in building materials sales is advantageous).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proven track record of establishing strong relationships with clients and maintaining a comprehensive client database.
• Skilled in face-to-face sales interactions.
• Must be a proactive self-starter, capable of working independently.
• Ability to create compelling product and technical presentations.
• Strong presentation skills.
• General understanding of the construction process.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints.
• Familiarity with Dodge Data.
• Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred).
• Awareness of social media trends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
