This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and new clients within designated territories.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients representing Ferrandino & Son on a daily basis.
• Perform quality-control evaluations of client properties.
• Evaluate aesthetic appeal, adherence to contracts, safety, and environmental concerns.
• Pinpoint areas for enhancement across client locations.
• Oversee and expand relationships with clients and service partners.
• Acquire knowledge about plants, grasses, trees, and environmental aspects that influence exterior maintenance.
• Foster and mentor relationships with both existing and prospective vendor partners.
• Identify and assess potential vendor partners for evaluation.
• Meet with vendor partners as required.
• Evaluate properties to ensure third-party exterior maintenance aligns with client standards and contractual agreements.
• Engage in discussions with clients regarding their needs, objectives, service expectations, and contractual commitments.
• Independently identify and resolve issues.
• Review contracts to uncover business-development potential.
• Recommend and propose site enhancements.
• Spearhead and manage site-enhancement initiatives.
• Recognize safety concerns related to landscaping and environmental factors.
• Create proposals detailing project scope and precise pricing.
• Conduct RFP measurements, evaluations, and photography.
• Manage and execute field requests from the Regional Manager.
• Support vendor-partner onboarding processes.
• Coordinate vendor partners for executing enhancement projects.
• Advise vendors on enhancements that fall outside the agreed scope.
• Initiate corrective actions for underperforming vendors.
• Lead and engage in training related to arboriculture, botany, horticulture, and environmental factors.
• Demonstrated interest in exterior maintenance.
• Familiarity with commercial landscape management, snow removal, irrigation, and/or lot sweeping.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Proven capability to work independently in a well-organized, focused, and disciplined manner.
• Ability to identify, balance, and prioritize evolving client needs while fostering client relationships.
• Willingness to travel within designated and additional territories, including overnight stays and some weekend travel.
• Self-motivated individual capable of managing schedules, meetings, and critical deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with management, clients, and service partners.
• Proficiency in using internal operating systems, MOS products, tablets, smartphones, and cameras.
• Valid driver's license in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of driving and operating a vehicle; walking; standing; speaking; sitting; writing; and typing.
• BA or higher in botany, horticulture, and/or arboriculture preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in landscape management, landscape management sales, and managing service partners preferred.
