Territory Manager – GI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead sales performance and drive business growth within a designated area.

• Create, implement, and execute a thorough territory business plan that aligns with corporate goals.

• Assess territory performance, market conditions, customer requirements, and competitive actions to pinpoint growth opportunities.

• Treat the territory as a business, prioritizing accounts and resources to optimize return on investment.

• Utilize CRM, sales analytics, and various data sources to enhance targeting, call planning, and territory execution.

• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

• Engage with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, office staff, and other healthcare decision-makers.

• Provide clinically accurate product presentations customized to meet customer needs.

• Implement promotional initiatives, educational programs, speaker events, and follow-up actions.

• Ensure high levels of customer service and responsiveness to foster long-term account growth.

• Expand knowledge of Azurity products, disease states, clinical data, and market dynamics.

• Convey complex clinical information in customer environments.

• Keep track of competitor activities, treatment guidelines, payer developments, and industry trends.

• Fulfill required training and enhance product, market, and sales expertise.

• Conduct business in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.

• Maintain CRM documentation and manage territory expenses within approved budgets.

• Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience.

• A demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

• Ability to operate independently while managing a territory and key customer relationships.

• Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Capability to effectively communicate clinical and scientific information.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce, or similar.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Willingness to travel as required, including overnight and air travel.

• Must be capable of sitting for extended periods.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.

• May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or use elevators.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Capability to use a keyboard and operate a telephone and hand-held devices.

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales is preferred.

• Experience in pharmaceutical sales is highly favored.

• Specialty pharmaceutical experience is a plus.

• Experience calling on Gastroenterology, Primary Care, Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, or other relevant specialties is preferred.

• Familiarity with local and regional health systems, payer dynamics, and specialty pharmacy channels is advantageous.

• A demonstrated record of top sales performance and recognition is preferred.
