This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Promote, market, and effectively sell products and services to both existing and potential customers within the designated territory.
• Cultivate and sustain customer relationships to enhance profitable sales.
• Formulate plans and strategies aimed at business development and achieving the company's sales and profit margin objectives.
• Keep track of customer, market, and competitor activities, providing insights to the company leadership and other departments.
• Leverage sales reports and market data to identify sales opportunities.
• Conduct personal sales visits to customer locations consistently with a service-oriented approach.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to implement effective channel and customer programs.
• Manage key customer relationships and engage in closing strategic sales opportunities.
• Participate in industry events and functions.
• Oversee travel expenses to align with budget and submit monthly expense reports.
• Travel for business purposes; occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs; perform necessary physical tasks, which include sitting, bending, reaching, typing, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• At least 5 years of professional sales or comparable work experience.
• Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in developing, planning, and organizing effective sales strategies.
• Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated business acumen: strategic thinker/planner with a solid understanding of product positioning and pricing.
• Broad experience with products in the Architectural Door Hardware category is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel 35% - 50% of the time.
• Ability to handle all information confidentially and show a high level of ethics, trust, and professionalism.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of connecting with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
