This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies aimed at achieving regional growth and revenue objectives.
• Conduct visits to customers, implement account development plans, promote products, provide technology updates, and collect feedback.
• Foster partnership-oriented relationships with retailers, agronomists, and significant growers.
• Propel product and platform adoption while taking ownership of regional revenue outcomes.
• Strategically manage and plan the geographic territory to satisfy expansion and renewal targets.
• Collaborate with Field Services, Customer Success, Grower Relations, and Channel teams to enhance satisfaction and address issues.
• Introduce innovative technology platforms, products, and improvements to key accounts.
• Analyze competitors, market trends, and regional opportunities; formulate recommendations for growth and risk mitigation.
• Maintain customer engagement to guide product development priorities.
• Address cross-functional challenges in sales, marketing, and account-management workflows.
• Represent Semios at conferences, trade shows, grower meetings, and industry events.
• Lead negotiations for contracts with significant or strategic clients.
• Deliver product training, education, and support to customers and partners.
• Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of sales experience, ideally in agriculture, technology, or associated fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a multi-county or multi-region territory.
• Practical knowledge of farming operations, crop production, and agricultural irrigation techniques.
• Proven success in executing business strategies and managing a structured sales pipeline.
• Familiarity with CRM software; experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the designated region.
• California PCA or CCA certification is highly desirable; a commitment to obtaining professional certification post-employment is encouraged.
• Exceptional relationship-building and customer engagement abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills suitable for diverse audiences.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and integrate insights into sales strategies.
• High level of organization and meticulous attention to detail in planning, documentation, and follow-through.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and capacity to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in utilizing mobile and web applications, digital tools, and CRM platforms.
