This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Execute established sales strategies and assess their effectiveness.
• Cultivate relationships with architects, general contractors, installers, specification writers/creators, and various stakeholders within the construction community.
• Impact the specification process and establish a strong specification presence for Nichiha products.
• Identify key general contractors and position Nichiha as the preferred cladding option.
• Collaborate with installers to establish Nichiha as a revenue-generating cladding choice.
• Identify specified or submitted projects and manage the project pipeline from order receipt in Salesforce.com.
• Record sales activities within Salesforce.com.
• Deliver AIA/CES courses to architects and assist in the development and enhancement of AIA/CES offerings.
• Provide product-knowledge training to general contractors and installers.
• Coordinate market intelligence regarding products, programs, shipping, and market segments.
• Work alongside Nichiha personnel to offer technical assistance, training, project initiation support, and problem resolution.
• Oversee the sales process through dealer or distribution channels.
• Partner with Field Technical personnel to cultivate a trained and consistent installer base.
• Engage in regional and national promotional/trade show events.
• Contribute to product development initiatives.
• Collect competitive activity insights and potential strategic directives.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a B2B environment (preferably in building materials sales).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proven ability to forge strong client relationships and maintain a comprehensive client database.
• Skilled in face-to-face sales interactions.
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Competence in creating product and technical presentations.
• Exceptional presentation abilities.
• General knowledge of the construction process.
• Capability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
• Familiarity with Dodge Data.
• Experience using a CRM tool (Salesforce.com is preferred).
• Awareness of social media trends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Opportunity to travel up to 50%.
