Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Present and promote Merit medical products to both new and existing clients.

• Follow up with customers to ensure the delivered products align with their needs.

• Regularly meet with clients to showcase and explain product benefits.

• Identify potential clients and introduce them to Merit products.

• Maintain client relationships and monitor satisfaction with the products.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Create customized drawings for tailored kits or manifolds.

• Prepare and submit pricing contracts for products.

• Identify chances to boost sales volume and profitability.

• Address and resolve manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely product shipments.

• Keep up-to-date with new Merit products and provide customer feedback regarding product needs and innovations.

• Make pricing decisions within the authorized limits.

• Prepare monthly reports detailing sales results, contacts, product changes, and procedural enhancements.

• Engage in sales training and planning meetings.

• Maintain knowledge of both Merit and competitor products.

• Set and achieve sales performance targets.

• Support market share growth by enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.

• Travel via car, airplane, bus, and other means to fulfill sales responsibilities.

• Perform other sales-related tasks as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.

• At least five years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical products sector.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand client needs in a sales context.

• High levels of personal motivation and drive.

• Exceptional oral presentation skills and the capability to analyze issues and communicate solutions to medical technicians and clinicians.

• Ability to learn how to use medical equipment and identify potential improvements.

• Competence in working effectively as part of a team.

• Proficiency in applying business mathematics for percentages and financial and sales data.

• Strong organizational, record-keeping, reporting, and documentation abilities.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours when necessary.

• Demonstrated computer proficiency, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software.

• Fluent in English.
