Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Propel sales performance and foster business growth within a designated area.

• Formulate, implement, and execute a detailed territory business plan that aligns with corporate goals.

• Assess territory performance, market trends, customer requirements, and competitive actions to uncover growth potential.

• Treat the territory as a business, focusing on account prioritization and resource allocation to maximize return on investment.

• Utilize CRM systems, sales analytics, and various data sources to enhance targeting, call planning, and territory management.

• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, key accounts, pharmacies, health systems, and other stakeholders.

• Interact with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, office staff, and healthcare decision-makers.

• Present clinically accurate product information tailored to customer requirements.

• Implement promotional campaigns, educational programs, speaker engagements, and follow-up actions.

• Ensure customer service excellence and responsiveness to promote long-term account development.

• Stay informed about Azurity products, relevant disease states, clinical data, and market dynamics.

• Accurately convey complex clinical information in diverse customer environments.

• Keep track of competitor actions, treatment protocols, payer trends, and industry developments.

• Fulfill mandatory training and enhance product, market, and sales knowledge.

• Conduct business in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.

• Maintain timely and accurate CRM documentation, manage territory expenditures, and operate within approved financial limits.

• Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve results.

• Perform additional tasks as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 2 years of successful sales experience is necessary.

• Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Ability to work independently while managing a territory and key customer relationships.

• Strong business acumen and strategic planning abilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Capability to effectively communicate clinical and scientific information.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce, or similar.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and air travel.

• Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales is preferred.

• Specialty pharmaceutical experience is a plus.

• Experience engaging with Gastroenterology, Primary Care, Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, or other relevant specialties is preferred.

• Familiarity with local and regional health systems, payer dynamics, and specialty pharmacy channels is advantageous.

• A demonstrated history of top sales performance and recognition is preferred.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.

• May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or use elevators.

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Must be able to operate a keyboard and use a telephone and handheld devices.
