Terminology and Translation Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify new terms for inclusion in the term database by collaborating with content creators, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

• Establish and oversee a controlled vocabulary and corporate language.

• Manage the term proposal process, including the approval or rejection of new term submissions.

• Extract and upload new terms into the term database.

• Compile both monolingual and multilingual glossaries.

• Export existing terminology into glossaries and bilingual dictionaries.

• Document terminology processes thoroughly.

• Provide terminology training to relevant stakeholders.

• Disseminate term database information as needed.

• Collect, monitor, and report on terminology metrics.

• Assist with proofreading of documents.

• Manage and cultivate vendor relationships.

• Complete additional tasks and special projects as needed.

• Travel occasionally as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BA or BS degree in Terminology, Translation, or Languages is required.

• Experience with computer-assisted translation and terminology tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with terms/glossaries and term databases is preferred.

• Strong command of English is required.

• Professional fluency in an additional language is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

• A team player with a willingness to collaborate.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

• Experience in translation and/or the localization industry is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of terminology and/or translation is preferred.

• Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.
