This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.
• Conduct, interpret, and provide reports for diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other specialized assessments.
• Deliver clinically relevant evaluations and reports in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Ensure prompt reporting to enhance patient management and streamline workflow.
• Execute fluoroscopy and specialized ultrasound examinations when applicable.
• Interpret and report on emergency imaging within the necessary turnaround times.
• Offer consultation to referring clinicians during working hours and designated on-call periods.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Engage in MDT discussions, clinical case reviews, departmental meetings, clinical meetings, and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
• Develop work schedules and oversee reporting workloads in coordination with the Head of Department and team.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive radiology reports within agreed service-level turnaround times.
• Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and professional standards in radiology.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and comply with data protection policies.
• Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR, hospital information systems, and teleradiology platforms effectively.
• Engage in scientific research and contribute to publications as appropriate.
• Participate in peer review and quality assurance programs.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by management within the scope of the role.
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or an equivalent qualification recognized by KMPDC.
• Master of Medicine (MMed) in Radiology and Imaging or an equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
• Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
• Recognized as a Specialist by the KMPDC.
• Possession of a valid KMPDC Practising Licence.
• Professional Medical Indemnity Insurance Cover is required.
• Proficiency in computer applications and Hospital Information Systems.
• A minimum of 5 years’ post-specialization experience as a practicing Radiologist in a busy hospital or diagnostic imaging center.
• Experience in interpreting CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Digital X-ray examinations.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Proficiency in virtual healthcare technologies and teleradiology platforms.
• Strong skills in report writing, diagnostics, analytical thinking, and clinical decision-making.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to prioritize workload and meet reporting turnaround times efficiently.
• Uphold high ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
• Dedication to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is an additional advantage.
