Telephonic Triage RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assess client needs through call triage following injury algorithm guidelines.

• Offer suitable care recommendations.

• Guide callers to the correct level-of-care treatment facility as permitted by licensed practice.

• Utilize all stages of the nursing process during call triage by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

• Determine caller requirements through triage, gathering general health information, and/or referring to provider services.

• Collaborate computerized protocols/algorithms with clinical nursing judgment.

• Conduct interviews with callers to collect relevant information and input data into the computer system.

• Deliver phone advice in a calm and effective manner.

• Accurately and promptly document symptoms, nursing assessments, advice given, and caller responses.

• Comply with quality assurance standards, scheduled activities, and nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Utilize quality assessment feedback to enhance personal performance.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current unrestricted multi-state registered nurse license.

• Collaborate with management to secure additional non-NLC state licenses immediately after job acceptance.

• Minimum of three years of clinical experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of nursing practice and theory, including first-aid care and general nursing assessment.

• Possess knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care across all age demographics.

• Display cultural sensitivity when interacting with diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social groups.

• Capable of making sound clinical decisions independently and swiftly.

• Manage stressful and rapidly changing situations effectively.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, inclusive of presentation abilities.

• Strong analytical, interpretative, and organizational capabilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Consistently accurate in typing and data entry throughout the work shift.

• A motivated team player, eager to collaborate in a team setting.

• Willingness to accommodate flexible scheduling.

• Ability to meet or surpass Key Performance Indicators (KPI) competencies.

• Proficient general computer skills and knowledge.

• Capable of typing a minimum of 45 wpm.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

• Understanding of computer components and their applications.

• Experience with technology troubleshooting.

• Ability to multitask and navigate through various software applications and multiple display screens.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Three years of direct patient care experience in Ambulatory and/or Inpatient settings.

• Ability to work remotely in a designated private workspace to maintain patient confidentiality and secure high-speed internet access.

• Confident in navigating various software systems/programs effortlessly.
