Telephonic Case Manager, RN – Compact License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, plan, implement, coordinate, and assess service options for injured workers.

• Aid injured workers in obtaining appropriate, cost-effective medical care promptly and facilitate their return to work.

• Engage in communication with medical providers, employers, injured workers, claims examiners, insurance representatives, physicians, therapists, and attorneys.

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments to identify patient needs.

• Review and assess medical correspondence, provider reports, treatment history, and clinical status of claimants.

• Research alternative treatment options as necessary.

• Provide claims examiners with instructions and updates on file status.

• Organize transportation services when required and authorized.

• Assess therapy facilities and monitor their progress.

• Prepare detailed case-file documentation.

• Discuss analyzed data and comprehensive care plans with insurance representatives prior to implementation.

• Execute authorized care plans with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.

• Coordinate care and services such as home care, procedures, medications, equipment, or supplies.

• Monitor and adjust care plans as needed.

• Facilitate communication among injured workers, physicians, employers, providers, therapists, and attorneys.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.

• 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) outside of academic training.

• Valid Compact RN license without restrictions, in good standing.

• Valid state-appropriate RN license without restrictions, in good standing.

• Must obtain a California RN License within 90 days (reimbursement provided).

• Demonstrates the professional and technical skills expected of a Registered Nurse.

• Experience in Case Management is preferred; Workers' Compensation experience is a plus but not mandatory.

• Background in Home Health Care or Occupational Health is considered advantageous.

• Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills.

• Excellent Interpersonal and Organizational Skills.

• High proficiency with computers and software programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Email).
