This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with injured employees, employers, and healthcare providers to develop case management strategies.
• Support medical recovery and ensure a successful return to work through advocacy, effective communication, and coordination of healthcare services.
• Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments via telephone.
• Assess injuries, medical treatments, psychosocial needs, cultural factors, and support systems.
• Foster relationships and communicate effectively with claims examiners, clients, injured workers, attorneys, and supervisors.
• Identify challenges related to delayed recovery or return to work.
• Utilize a creative-thinking approach to problem-solving.
• Negotiate treatment plans and disability durations with providers based on medical and disability duration guidelines.
• Discover opportunities to streamline care for cost efficiency and timely medical recovery.
• Suggest alternative clinical resources to aid in claim resolution.
• Uphold client privacy and confidentiality, advocate for client safety, and comply with ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Must possess a current unrestricted RN license(s) in a state or territory of the United States.
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Relevant medical/clinical or rehabilitation knowledge and experience required.
• Capability to manage complex medical conditions, treatment planning, and recovery processes from illness or injury.
• Ability to collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, claims examiners, clients, attorneys, and supervisors.
• Familiarity with medical and disability duration guidelines.
• Commitment to adhering to ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Proficient in maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
