
Telephonic Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collaborate with injured employees, employers, and healthcare providers to develop effective case management strategies.
• Support medical recovery and a successful return to work through advocacy, effective communication, and the coordination of healthcare services.
• Utilize medical, clinical, or rehabilitation expertise to manage intricate medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing clinical evaluations via telephone.
• Assess injuries, medical treatments, psychosocial needs, cultural factors, and support systems.
• Foster communication and build relationships with claims examiners, clients, injured workers, attorneys, and supervisors.
• Identify obstacles related to delayed recovery or return to work and formulate actionable solutions.
• Negotiate treatment plans and disability durations with providers, adhering to medical and disability duration guidelines.
• Discover opportunities to expedite care for cost management and prompt medical recovery.
• Suggest alternative clinical resources to assist in claim resolution.
• Uphold client privacy and confidentiality while advocating for client safety.
• Comply with ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• A current unrestricted RN license(s) in a state or territory of the United States is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Possession of medical, clinical, or rehabilitation knowledge and experience.
• Capability to manage work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong clear and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, analysis, and discretion.
• Proficient computer keyboarding skills.
• Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively.
