Telemedicine Psychiatrist, Mental Health Provider

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive, continuous care that merges primary care and behavioral health, prioritizing measurable outcomes.

• Oversee both acute and chronic health issues, focusing on minimizing unnecessary emergency department visits, hospital admissions, and specialty care leaks.

• Execute behavioral health screenings, diagnoses, and initial management (e.g., anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use), weaving these into holistic treatment plans.

• Prescribe and supervise the usage of medical and psychotropic medications following evidence-based standards.

• Employ data-driven, measurement-focused care (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, utilization trends) to inform clinical choices and monitor patient development.

• Recognize and address high-risk individuals and emerging high-risk groups through proactive outreach and care strategies.

• Conduct risk assessment and care planning to enhance quality metrics and patient outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team (including behavioral health specialists, care coordinators, and support personnel) to provide coordinated, high-quality care.

• Record all patient interactions and care strategies in the Doctronic EHR, ensuring precision for quality reporting and value-based reimbursement.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations, telehealth standards, and state-specific prescribing guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in a minimum of 40 U.S. states (50 states preferred).

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is mandatory.

• Proven experience in integrated care delivery, particularly in managing prevalent behavioral health issues within a primary care context.

• Strong grasp of value-based care principles, encompassing quality metrics, utilization management, and overall healthcare costs.

• Background in managing chronic conditions and high-risk patient demographics within a longitudinal care framework.

• Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications within the primary care environment.

• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and providing high-quality virtual care.

• Exceptional communication abilities with a focus on patient-centered, outcome-oriented practices.
