
Telehealth Registered Dietitian, RD/RDN – Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Perform detailed nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth consultations.
• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions.
• Create tailored nutrition care plans for individual patients.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change techniques.
• Foster patient engagement through effective communication.
• Address clinical concerns when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required.
• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.
• Play a role in the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities arise.
• Must possess an active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in good standing.
• Hold an active Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) license in states of practice.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.
• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is required.
• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth is preferred.
• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.
• Comfortable collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms.
• Access to reliable internet connection.
• Availability of a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Adhere to licensure standards and ensure HIPAA compliance.
