Telehealth Registered Dietitian, RDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth appointments

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic illnesses

• Create personalized nutrition care strategies

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change techniques

• Foster patient involvement through effective communication and escalate clinical issues as necessary

• Work in partnership with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators

• Engage in care planning and case review sessions as required

• Record interactions, evaluations, and care strategies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools efficiently

• Participate in the development of clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative interdisciplinary care as the organization expands

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid RD/RDN credential in good standing

• Current LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the relevant state(s) of practice

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT (mandatory)

• Background in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred)

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation capabilities

• Ability to work comfortably within interdisciplinary teams

• Familiarity with EHRs and telehealth systems

• Access to reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant work environment

• Capacity to uphold licensure requirements, maintain HIPAA compliance, and complete necessary training/professional development
