
Telehealth Registered Dietitian, Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual or telehealth consultations.
• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy for obesity and associated chronic ailments.
• Create personalized nutrition care strategies.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.
• Foster patient engagement through effective communication and appropriately escalate clinical issues.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Engage in care planning and case evaluations as necessary.
• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Effectively utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools.
• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities present themselves.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in good standing.
• Active Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) license in the states of practice.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.
• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (mandatory).
• Experience in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).
• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Access to reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Ability to adhere to licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Fully remote clinical position.
• Flexible working hours (20–40 hours per week).
