Telehealth Registered Dietitian, Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual/telehealth appointments.

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Offer nutrition education and counseling using motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.

• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication.

• Address clinical concerns as necessary.

• Work in collaboration with physicians, NPs, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and participate in case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the EHR system.

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.

• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and innovations in interdisciplinary care when opportunities arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the state(s) of practice.

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field.

• Clinical/ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (required).

• Experience in obesity/weight management/chronic conditions and telehealth (preferred).

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.

• Comfort working within interdisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with EHRs and telehealth platforms.

• Reliable internet connection.

• Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Ability to uphold licensure standards, HIPAA compliance, and complete required training/professional development.
