Telehealth Registered Dietitian, Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual/telehealth appointments.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change strategies.

• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication.

• Raise clinical concerns when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case review as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools efficiently.

• Adhere to licensure standards, HIPAA regulations, and mandatory training/professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in applicable state(s).

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (mandatory).

• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.

• Ability to work comfortably within interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient with electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms.

• Reliable internet connection.

• Private workspace that complies with HIPAA standards.

• Capability to uphold licensure standards and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
