Telehealth Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intake assessments, which include medical history, dietary habits, laboratory results, and more.

• Facilitate diet and lifestyle counseling and education sessions through video conferencing.

• Provide general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as it pertains to nutritional care.

• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources while tailoring care to meet individual patient needs.

• Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the ongoing care process.

• Collaborate with APRNs and MDs involved in the medical management of patients.

• Keep precise and current patient records.

• Commit to at least 10 patient-facing hours each week in addition to administrative responsibilities.

• Complete documentation and address patient inquiries promptly.

• Respond to administrative tasks and messages in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with a valid certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• A minimum of 1-year experience in treating patients with complex women’s health issues is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to operate as an independent provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing empathy and clarity.

• Capability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based practice grounded in the latest clinical research.

• Proficient in using EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and various scheduling tools.

• Previous telehealth experience is advantageous.

• Must possess an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state.

• Ability to allocate a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours weekly, in addition to administrative time.

• Must be able to schedule at least 80% of contracted hours during designated evenings, Fridays, and/or weekends.

• Applicants are required to provide a CDR registration number.

• Candidates must submit two professional references from a former or current supervisor and coworker within the past 5 years.
