Telehealth Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intake assessments, which include medical history, dietary patterns, laboratory results, and additional information.

• Facilitate diet and lifestyle counseling and educational sessions through video conferencing.

• Provide general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as it pertains to nutritional care.

• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources while tailoring care to meet individual patient needs.

• Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the continuity of care process.

• Collaborate with APRNs and MDs involved in the medical management of patients.

• Keep accurate and current patient records.

• Commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours weekly in addition to administrative duties.

• Complete charting and respond to patient inquiries.

• Address administrative tasks and messages promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with a current certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• At least 1 year of experience in treating patients with complex women’s health issues (strongly preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to operate as an independent provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on compassion and clarity.

• Ability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.

• Dedication to evidence-based care grounded in current clinical research.

• Proficiency in using EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling applications.

• Prior telehealth experience is advantageous.

• An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state is mandatory.

• Legal residency in the United States.

• Must address U.S. work authorization and visa sponsorship prerequisites.
