Telehealth Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intake assessments, which encompass medical history, dietary habits, laboratory findings, and other relevant information.

• Facilitate diet and lifestyle counseling as well as educational sessions via video conferencing.

• Offer general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as it relates to nutritional care.

• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources while customizing care to meet patient needs.

• Implement motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the continuity of care.

• Work in collaboration with APRNs and MDs to manage patients' medical needs.

• Keep accurate and current patient records.

• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week dedicated to patient-facing activities in addition to administrative tasks.

• Finalize charting and address patient inquiries effectively.

• Respond to administrative duties and messages promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with active certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• A minimum of one year of experience in treating patients with complex women's health issues is highly preferred.

• Possess an active, unrestricted state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state.

• Ability to operate as an independent provider with diagnostic judgment and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focusing on compassion and clarity.

• Capability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.

• Dedication to evidence-based care grounded in the latest clinical research.

• Proficiency with EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling applications.

• Willingness to allocate at least 80% of contracted weekly hours to evenings, Fridays, and/or weekends.

• Ability to work hours as scheduled in the time zone of active state licenses.

• Minimum of 10 hours per week dedicated to patient interaction, in addition to administrative responsibilities.

• Two professional references: one from a past or current supervisor and one from a coworker within the last five years.

• Prior experience in telehealth is advantageous.
