Telehealth Physician, CA License Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Facilitate synchronous telehealth consultations with patients as arranged by 9amHealth for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.

• Execute medical evaluations pertinent to each appointment.

• Examine patient histories and respond to patient inquiries within the parameters of the consultation.

• Offer medical advice, prescriptions, or referrals as deemed suitable and in line with state regulations and care standards.

• Ensure precise documentation of patient interactions in 9amHealth’s electronic health record system, limited to information collected during the synchronous visit.

• Deliver real-time virtual medical consultations for patients with cardiometabolic disorders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

• Hold an active medical license in the state of California.

• Maintain active board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or a related specialty.

• Have experience in treating cardiometabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.

• Exhibit strong communication skills and the capability to provide care virtually.

• Prior experience in telemedicine is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

• Comfortable with a 1099 compensation model that pays per session.

• Able to commit to 10–15 hours per week, with current high demand from Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 8 PM local time, plus potential weekend coverage.
