This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver telehealth medical nutrition therapy utilizing a functional and integrative approach, primarily focused on pregnancy and gestational diabetes.
• Evaluate patients’ nutritional health, prenatal requirements, blood sugar management, and hormone-related issues.
• Track and assess daily blood glucose logs for patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
• Provide prompt feedback, modifications, and continuous support to patients.
• Educate patients on the use of glucose meters and blood sugar monitoring practices.
• Create and adjust personalized nutrition care plans aimed at achieving glycemic control during pregnancy.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Execute Simplex Health protocols and utilize provided materials.
• Record new and follow-up appointments using the Healthie platform.
• Respond to patient inquiries in a supportive and timely manner.
• Maintain a full and consistent patient caseload, ensuring timely follow-ups and continuity of care.
• Engage in team collaboration, case reviews, meetings, shared learning, committees, resources, and clinical initiatives.
• Stay updated with the latest research developments.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability, with potential to increase hours or transition to a full-time schedule.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification.
• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical settings.
• Strong interest in women’s health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes (GDM).
• Integrative and functional nutrition approach to patient care.
• Experience or a keen interest in prenatal nutrition, GDM, or hormone-related conditions.
• Availability of at least 15 hours per week.
• Must be credentialed or willing to obtain credentialing with insurance companies.
• Not permitted to maintain an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business.
• Pennsylvania license and completion of major insurance credentialing required prior to commencement.
• Preference for availability during evening hours.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) strongly preferred.
• IFNA Certified / IFNCP credential is advantageous; candidates currently enrolled in IFNA training are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in supporting pregnant patients or managing gestational diabetes is preferred.
• Capability to document appointments within the Healthie platform.
• Strong attention to detail and timely communication with patients.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Commitment to staying informed about emerging research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care.
