Seasonal Operator, Highway Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and various heavy machinery as necessary

• Maintain the Alaska Highways throughout the year

• Assist with labor-related tasks such as crack sealing, pothole repair, cleaning of bridges and signage, and hazard mitigation

• Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

• Adapt to changing weather conditions through shift work, on-call responsibilities, and night shift duties

• Contribute to the safety of the Alaska Highway

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

• Capability to perform physically demanding activities, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.

• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement

• Clean 3-year driving record

• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is highly desirable

• Availability for some shift work, on-call duties, and night shifts will be required
