This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver fully remote telehealth medical nutrition therapy utilizing a functional and integrative approach.
• Concentrate care mainly on pregnancy and gestational diabetes (GDM).
• Evaluate patients’ nutritional health, encompassing prenatal requirements, blood sugar management, and hormone-related issues.
• Track and assess daily blood glucose logs for patients with GDM.
• Provide prompt feedback, necessary adjustments, and continuous support for patients.
• Educate and instruct patients on glucose monitoring devices and blood sugar tracking techniques.
• Create and adjust personalized nutrition care plans aimed at glycemic control during pregnancy.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Execute Simplex Health protocols and utilize relevant materials.
• Record new and follow-up appointments within the Healthie platform.
• Address patient communications promptly and supportively.
• Resolve any work-related issues or conflicts as they arise.
• Foster team collaboration and support collective decisions and outcomes.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes management.
• Handle a full and consistent patient caseload, ensuring timely follow-ups and continuity of care.
• Maintain a minimum availability of 15 hours weekly, with the possibility of transitioning to higher hours or full-time work.
• Report directly to the Senior Clinical Director.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
• Current registration with the CDR is necessary.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Completion of a Pennsylvania license and major insurance credentialing is required prior to starting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical settings.
• Experience or a strong interest in prenatal nutrition, gestational diabetes (GDM), or hormone-related conditions is essential.
• A passion for women’s health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes is vital.
• Must adopt an integrative and functional approach to nutrition care.
• A minimum of 15 hours of availability per week is necessary.
• Credentialed with insurance companies or open to becoming credentialed.
• Candidates should not operate an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business.
• Availability for evening appointments is strongly preferred.
• CDCES certification is strongly preferred.
• IFNA Certified status is preferred; having an IFNCP credential is a bonus.
• Candidates currently enrolled in IFNA training are welcome to apply.
• Ability to manage a consistent and full patient caseload is essential.
• Attention to detail is crucial when documenting in the Healthie platform.
• Effective communication skills are required to interact with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and team members.
• Must stay informed with research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care.
