This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver virtual outpatient medical nutrition therapy utilizing an integrative and functional nutrition methodology.
• Concentrate care primarily on pregnancy and prenatal nutrition, particularly in relation to gestational diabetes.
• Assist patients facing hormonal imbalances, PCOS, fertility issues, perimenopause, gut health, and metabolic health challenges.
• Evaluate patients’ nutritional status, prenatal requirements, blood sugar management, and hormone-related conditions.
• Oversee and assess daily blood glucose logs for patients with gestational diabetes.
• Provide constructive feedback, treatment modifications, and continuous patient support.
• Educate and instruct patients on glucose meters and techniques for monitoring blood sugar levels.
• Create and adjust personalized nutrition care plans aimed at achieving glycemic control during pregnancy.
• Coordinate care and maintain communication with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Execute Simplex Health protocols and utilize provided materials.
• Record new and follow-up appointments in the Healthie platform.
• Respond promptly and supportively to patient inquiries.
• Collaborate with the team and uphold team decisions and outcomes.
• Stay updated with research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes management.
• Manage a full patient caseload with timely follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
• Report directly to the Senior Clinical Director.
• Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical settings.
• Experience or a strong interest in prenatal nutrition, gestational diabetes (GDM), or hormone-related conditions.
• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Credentialed or willing to become credentialed with insurance providers.
• Pennsylvania licensure and completion of major insurance credentialing required prior to starting.
• Strong enthusiasm for women’s health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes.
• Integrative and functional nutrition approach to patient care.
• Evening appointment availability is highly preferred.
• CDCES certification is strongly preferred.
• IFNA Certified (IFNCP credential is a plus); candidates currently enrolled in IFNA training are welcome to apply.
• Ability to provide timely, supportive communication with patients and maintain detailed documentation.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Ability to stay informed about emerging research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care.
• Capability to manage a full and consistent patient caseload.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, project management, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
