Telecommunications Systems Engineer, SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create sophisticated solutions to intricate engineering challenges involving Avaya, Juniper, Cisco, Zoom, and Microsoft products

• Conduct advanced systems design, development, and integration throughout the entire systems life cycle

• Install, configure, test, and uphold operating systems, application software, and system management tools

• Prepare and keep up-to-date engineering project process and procedure documentation

• Engage in complex systems development and design, encompassing logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering

• Offer system, equipment, and specialized training along with technical guidance

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Avaya systems

• Create and maintain OSSI-based automation tools and scripting frameworks

• Design, construct, and deliver dependable Unified Communications solutions for the Federal Aviation Administration customer

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree

• Over 15 years of relevant experience

• Expertise as an Avaya Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• Expertise as an OSSI Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• Telecommunications Service Delivery SME expertise

• Proficient in Configuration Management

• Experience with cloud deployments

• Proficiency in Python at the developmental level

• Required expertise in Avaya Aura

• Experience in creating OSSI scripting frameworks

• Familiarity with Avaya Aura System Manager database schema and OSSI interface

• Agency Specific Suitability: FAA

• Travel requirements are less than 10%
