Tele-Cardiologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate virtual cardiology care to patients in hospital or emergency department settings via telemedicine.

• Collaborate with on-site teams to create comprehensive care plans for patients.

• Conduct proactive cardiology rounds, encompassing the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disorders and diseases.

• Perform daily rounds and assess laboratory, medication, and imaging data.

• Prescribe suitable pharmaceutical and treatment regimens.

• Establish and oversee local hospital care protocols.

• Engage in family discussions and communicate effectively with patient care teams and local physicians.

• Initiate early interventions to avert clinical deterioration.

• Work with bedside teams to deliver real-time cardiology expertise.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives led by Equum’s Physician leadership team.

• Align healthcare providers with quality, patient experience, and operational objectives.

• Utilize EMR, patient records, vital signs, and decision-support tools as needed.

• Promote teamwork and communication among internal and external patient care stakeholders.

• Build long-lasting relationships with care sites to enhance staff and patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from patient care providers.

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively.

• Prior computer experience and comfort with EMR systems.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor colleagues, build consensus, and drive positive outcomes.

• Current ACLS Certification.

• Valid DEA Certificate required.

• Experience in a hospital or emergency department setting.

• Reliable high-speed internet access from home.

• Availability for 12-hour day and night shifts.

• Proven proficiency in cardiology skills.

• Ability to think critically when diagnosing clinical issues and determining interventions.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficient in computer documentation and navigation.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or possess ECFMG certification.

• Board Certification or Board-Eligibility in Cardiology; candidates not board certified at hire must achieve board certification within two years of starting the position.

• Ability to secure multiple state medical licenses in areas where services are rendered.

• Qualified to obtain local hospital privileges.
