Técnico Especialista – Backup IBM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Administration and support of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / IBM Storage Protect environments

• Management of incidents, requests, and changes using the Remedy tool

• Monitoring and optimization of the backup platform

• Management of Storage Pools, retention policies, and data recovery

• Participation in migration projects, upgrades, and patching

• Resolution of complex incidents in critical environments

• Daily service monitoring and report preparation

• Coordination with technical teams and involvement in continuous improvement tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3-4 years of experience managing IBM TSM / IBM Storage Protect (v8.1.x)

• Experience with IBM SVC

• Experience with IBM FlashSystem

• Management of Storage Pools (Directory, File, and LTO tape)

• Experience with TS3500 and TS3300 libraries

• LAN Free configuration experience

• Experience with TSM4VE

• Experience with TDPORA, TDPSQL, and TDPHANA

• Experience in upgrading TSM servers

• Knowledge of SAN storage

• Administration of Cisco SAN switches

• Experience in Linux and Windows systems

• Shell and/or PowerShell scripting

• Integration with VMware

• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server

• Experience in 24x7 and high-criticality environments

• Experience with Brocade switches will be valued

• English proficiency at B1-B2 level

• Experience in backup process automation and optimization will be valued

• Must reside in Spanish territory
