Technology/Computer Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs for students aged 16–21 in grades 9–12.

• Enhance the instructional program via asynchronous web conferencing and live teaching sessions.

• Timely completion of grading, progress report creation, and parent conferences.

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and teachers to develop and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

• Provide constructive feedback on student assignments and recommend instructional methods and strategies.

• Track assignment completion and mentor on special projects.

• Keep a broad understanding of the K–12 curriculum and in-depth knowledge of the specific grades assigned.

• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and additional support for assignments and projects.

• Ensure student records and data are up-to-date, including student and family information, attendance, and contact logs.

• Collaborate with colleagues and learning specialists on enrichment activities and program adjustments.

• Foster and sustain a virtual school community.

• Engage in the organization and administration of State Testing.

• Participate in student recruitment events and marketing initiatives that require teacher involvement.

• Attend field trips and community events for families.

• Carry out other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a teaching certification in Technology/Computer Science for South Carolina, appropriate to grade level responsibilities.

• Residency in South Carolina is required.

• Gifted and Talented Endorsement is strongly recommended.

• Proficient technology skills, particularly with MS Office applications and Google Suite.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Highly organized and punctual.

• Customer-focused mindset.

• High degree of adaptability.

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated record as a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for school and state testing events, which may include overnight stays.

• Capability to work remotely, if required.

• Availability for occasional evening hours as needed to support some families.
