Technology Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical integrity and production reliability of enterprise applications spanning HR, finance, and operations.

• Create, develop, and uphold API-driven integrations and data workflows that connect enterprise applications, internal services, and third-party platforms.

• Recognize inefficient processes and devise automation solutions to minimize repetitive tasks and enhance accuracy.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend needs, identify underlying problems, and convert requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Diagnose complex issues across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.

• Lead or assist in root-cause analysis for production incidents and propose lasting improvements.

• Support application releases and production deployments, including testing, validation, change coordination, and post-release stabilization.

• Keep documentation up-to-date regarding system architecture, integrations, data flows, dependencies, configurations, and technical standards.

• Implement incident, problem, and change management practices utilizing IT service management tools and processes.

• Work in tandem with engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and other technology teams.

• Assess emerging technologies, including AI and automation capabilities.

• Manage multiple priorities and workstreams while adapting to changing business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in solutions engineering, enterprise applications, systems engineering, IT consulting, technical support, business systems analysis, or a related technical position.

• Proven experience in taking substantial technical ownership of business-critical applications or technology solutions within a production environment.

• Practical experience in designing or supporting system integrations using REST or SOAP APIs, webhooks, SFTP, or comparable integration methods.

• Proficiency in SQL, including SELECT, WHERE, and JOIN operations.

• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

• Experience in troubleshooting issues across interconnected applications, integrations, and data flows.

• Understanding of incident, problem, release, and change management practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to translate business challenges into effective technical solutions.

• A propensity towards automating repetitive manual tasks.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment with shifting requirements.
