Technology Partner – Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with data and technology leaders within key client organizations to deliver strategic advisory services and thought leadership.

• Facilitate brown-bag discussions, workshops, and educational sessions focused on data, AI, cloud, and platform insights.

• Evaluate client data platforms, operational models, and technological practices; offer recommendations for improvements, solution strategies, and transformation roadmaps.

• Provide technological guidance for Data & Insights transformation initiatives encompassing technology, organizational structures, operational processes, and governance.

• Identify and evaluate essential technology talent for vital client-facing positions.

• Design scalable technology solutions for intricate and enterprise-wide projects.

• Showcase Tiger’s Data & Insights offerings to potential clients and executive stakeholders.

• Create solution architectures, proposals, statements of work, and responses to client specifications.

• Collaborate with business and delivery leaders to identify opportunities in data, analytics, AI/ML, cloud, and modernization.

• Guide and mentor talent in engineering, data, architecture, and analytics.

• Oversee and direct architecture resources across client projects and internal initiatives.

• Produce thought-leadership content, reference architectures, methodologies, accelerators, and delivery practices.

• Engage in interviews and refine hiring, assessment, and talent development processes.

• Work alongside offshore partners on solution design, training, delivery quality, and capability enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing solution architectures for large enterprises and complex transformation endeavors.

• Essential requirement: practical and architectural expertise in Databricks for designing, implementing, and modernizing enterprise data and AI platforms utilizing the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

• Proficiency in Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, Workflows, notebooks, data pipelines, governance, security, and platform management.

• Experience in constructing and governing data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads on Databricks, including batch processing, real-time streaming, and scalable data pipeline architectures.

• Familiarity with integrating Databricks with cloud services, particularly within Azure and Azure Databricks environments.

• Strong understanding of both traditional and contemporary data platforms, including NoSQL, MPP, columnar databases, big data ecosystems, cloud data warehouses, and cloud-native data platforms.

• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Event Hubs, and related integration, security, and monitoring services.

• Knowledge in batch ETL/ELT, real-time streaming, event-driven architectures, IoT data pipelines, and distributed computing.

• Databricks certification is preferred.

• Prior experience leading enterprise Databricks migrations or modernization initiatives is preferred.

• Background in defining Lakehouse operating models, platform standards, reusable frameworks, governance patterns, and FinOps practices is preferred.

• Strong experience in collaborating with senior client stakeholders is preferred.
