This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategize, compose, and refine impactful documentation for various product ecosystems across all delivery formats.
• Manage the complete documentation lifecycle for a designated brand or product line.
• Spearhead documentation strategies and oversee release deliverables throughout product milestones.
• Create, sustain, and enhance user-facing documentation across web portals, multimedia, and embedded assistance technologies.
• Direct documentation initiatives for new products, major releases, and product redesigns.
• Focus on customer experience by prioritizing user-centric, problem-solving technical content.
• Mentor Technical Writer I and II levels while serving as a subject matter expert.
• Uphold quality standards and assist in distributing workload effectively.
• Review processes and deliverables, implementing improvements for efficiency and usability.
• Manage the documentation bug/support pipeline, including triage, requirement clarification, assignment, and escalation.
• Foster consensus across organizational levels, aligning documentation strategies with business goals.
• Creatively and independently resolve complex job- or customer-related challenges.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of authoring tools and workflows, applying it to enhance team deliverables.
• Proven expertise in Madcap Flare authoring and advanced documentation workflows.
• Demonstrated experience with various publication types, including online content syndication and HTML-first documentation.
• Proficient in building consensus and effectively collaborating across distinct, cross-functional teams.
• Capability to utilize AI-powered tools to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task and documentation management.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in technical writing or equivalent discipline experience OR 8+ years of technical writing experience.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada indefinitely is required.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.
• Preferred: experience in creating and maintaining standardized hardware/software manuals throughout the product lifecycle.
• Preferred: track record of driving significant process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Preferred: proficiency in git-based source control, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Preferred: extensive experience in translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly guides.
