This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop, compose, edit, and sustain technical manuals, reports, procedures, guides, proposals, and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical experts, and operational teams to collect and validate information.
• Research technical specifications, drawings, diagrams, schematics, and associated documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Observe operational and production activities to record procedures, workflows, and best practices.
• Review and enhance existing documentation to boost clarity, consistency, and usability.
• Organize content according to established standards for format, style, terminology, and quality.
• Create or coordinate visual content such as charts, diagrams, illustrations, and screenshots.
• Maintain document revisions, version control, and publication records.
• Edit and standardize materials prepared by other contributors.
• Assist in the development of internal communications, training materials, and process documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical writing.
• Active Security Clearance is required.
• Experience in developing technical, operational, or procedural documentation.
• Strong skills in writing, editing, proofreading, and research.
• Ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information to varied audiences.
• Experience working with technical drawings, specifications, schematics, or engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, government, or technical operations environments.
• Familiarity with equipment operation, maintenance, or technical procedures.
• Experience in developing training materials, user guides, or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Position is contingent upon contract award, Government acceptance of the proposed candidate, completion of required onboarding, and continued contract funding.
