This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Revise, edit, and format technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and system administration guides based on engineering contributions.
β’ Catalog and organize both digital and physical technical documentation within a centralized library.
β’ Ensure that manuals are easily searchable, properly tagged, and kept up to date.
β’ Collaborate with the Configuration Management team to implement document control protocols.
β’ Manage the routing of documents through formal approval workflows and oversee the check-in/check-out processes.
β’ Monitor version updates consistently.
β’ Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Word, including custom styles, automated tables of contents, complex cross-referencing, and multi-level numbering.
β’ Proofread technical documents and work instructions for consistency in formatting, clarity in technical content, and uniformity in acronyms.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Technical Communications, English, Information Management, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
β’ 3 to 4 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, with a focus on technical manuals, library control, or document configuration in federal contracting, defense, or aerospace engineering settings.
β’ High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and the entire MS Office suite.
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-page technical documents effectively.
β’ Strong understanding of baseline control principles, version tracking, and fundamental configuration management workflows.
