Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Develop, organize, and sustain technical or product documentation.

• Enhance documentation workflows utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude.

• Present intricate information clearly for both technical and product audiences.

• Document sophisticated IT products, distributed systems, interconnected services, B2B offerings, administrative interfaces, or enterprise software.

• Generate release notes, video tutorials, and localized documentation.

• Manage knowledge bases, including tagging and content classification.

• Collaborate with stakeholders from technical and product teams.

• Read code or simple scripts and document APIs as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT, with hands-on experience in creating technical or product documentation.

• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies.

• Proficient in writing, structuring, and maintaining technical documentation.

• Skilled in Confluence, Markdown, and MS Office or Google Docs.

• Basic understanding of Git, including branches, merge requests, conflicts, and version control practices.

• Enthusiasm for learning and utilizing AI tools, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to enhance documentation processes.

• Exceptional written Russian (C1+/native) and strong written English (B2 or above).

• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, attention to detail, and the capability to organize complex information effectively.

• Outstanding written communication abilities, autonomy, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

• Experience dealing with complex IT products, distributed systems, or platforms with multiple interconnected services.

• Experience documenting B2B products, administrative interfaces, or enterprise software.

• Experience creating Release Notes, video tutorials, or localized documentation.

• Familiarity with Jira, including JQL.

• Basic knowledge of APIs and the ability to read code or simple scripts (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).

• Experience with Oxygen XML Author, DITA XML, or Docs-as-Code methodologies.

• Practical experience using AI tools for automating documentation tasks.

• Experience in organizing knowledge bases, tagging, or classifying content.

• Experience collaborating with stakeholders from both technical and product teams.
