Freelance – Science & Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Create whitepapers, technical articles, and scientific content that accurately reflect the company's technology and research.

• Simplify complex deep-tech subjects for informed B2B audiences without compromising their intricacies.

• Collaborate on projects from initial briefing to expert reviews and final approval.

• Conduct interviews with subject-matter experts.

• Manage reviews and integrate feedback until final approval is achieved.

• Propose diagrams, infographics, and data visualizations where they add value.

• Generate publication-ready content in both German and English.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of demonstrated experience in scientific or technical writing, preferably in a deep-tech or B2B technology setting.

• Educational background in natural sciences, engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• A genuine interest in eye tracking, computer vision, human-machine interaction, or wearable technology.

• Proven ability to make scientific subjects understandable to a general audience.

• Capacity to independently navigate complex topics following a briefing.

• Exceptional writing skills in both German and English.

• Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and tone.

• A structured, dependable, and meticulous approach to work.

• Capability to manage projects from the first draft to the final version.

• Ability to deliver a personally written technical white paper or scientific article.

• Provide an example demonstrating the ability to make complex technology or research accessible to a wider audience.

• Residing in or near Vienna is a plus.
