Technical Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide both in-person and virtual training sessions for internal and external clients and partners.

• Offer tailored training sessions for key partners and customers as needed.

• Engage in the creation and enhancement of KPIs related to attendance and training objectives.

• Oversee the maintenance of the training center and its equipment.

• Collaborate with the sales team for bi-annual planning of the Academy schedule.

• Ensure uniform course scheduling nationwide for partners and customers.

• Conduct surveys with attendees and refine the training program based on their feedback.

• Act as an Axis representative regarding training, new product initiatives, and at industry tradeshows.

• Keep technical knowledge of the Axis portfolio up to date and integrate new offerings, features, and insights into courses.

• Perform needs assessments for course development.

• Deliver content created by Academy stakeholders in the Americas and global headquarters.

• Develop new content to meet the strategic objectives of the Canadian team and market.

• Aid in the technical development of internal staff.

• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

• Proficient public speaker with exceptional presentation abilities.

• Team-oriented individual who can inspire and motivate others to succeed.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal formats.

• Capacity for independent and productive travel.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in training and professional development.

• At least 2 years of experience in Network Surveillance/CCTV/Physical Security.

• Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.

• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.

• Current certifications such as Axis Certified Professional (ACP), PSP, or CPP are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in French is appreciated but not required.

• Ability to occasionally lift 20–25 lbs.

• Some positions may necessitate background checks.
