Technical Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive technical blueprints that effectively balance client needs with budgetary constraints, timelines, and technical limitations.

• Ensure that designs are focused on scalability, high availability, and security.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions during the pre-sales process and assess RFP requirements.

• Collaborate with the business development team to create high-level solution concepts and cost estimates.

• Assess, benchmark, and choose technology stacks, cloud platforms, frameworks, databases, and third-party integrations.

• Design system architectures that encompass electronics hardware, embedded firmware, and mechanical systems, particularly for Industrial, Automotive, consumer/prosumer, and security and surveillance applications.

• Provide technical governance and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Review code and architecture, establish engineering best practices, and resolve complex bottlenecks.

• Develop hands-on prototypes and proofs of concept to validate architectural concepts and mitigate technical risks.

• Simplify complex technical designs into clear, value-oriented language for non-technical stakeholders and executive client boards.

• Assist sales teams in acquiring new accounts through technical presentations.

• Produce documentation and initial blueprints to expedite the ramp-up of engineering teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering or systems design.

• At least 3 years specifically in an architectural or client-facing consulting role.

• Advanced knowledge of the complete product design life cycle.

• Practical experience with BSP and firmware development using various microcontrollers and microprocessors.

• Profound understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, serverless computing, and containerization.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong grasp of regulatory compliance and industry standards.

• Experience in production line testing and developing test fixtures.

• Ability to adapt to evolving client business models across Automotive, Industrial, Healthcare, and Consumer sectors.

• Comfortable engaging with legacy systems that have inadequate documentation and mapping out modernization strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional development teams and earn the trust of client leadership.
