This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide the necessary technical support to effectively expand the global business with regional clients.
• Create and execute initiatives aimed at establishing technical leadership within the region.
• Assist with Global Operations initiatives.
• Collaborate with global business partners to formulate and implement regional sales strategies for Sustainability Services.
• Engage in sales activities, including delivering technical presentations, developing proposals, and conducting line reviews.
• Oversee the implementation of the technical product-line aspect of new business.
• Aid in the maintenance and growth of existing account sales.
• Create and sustain technical content for sales and marketing materials.
• Provide regional insights to Global Marketing.
• Act as a liaison between the region and Global Operations regarding client needs, capacity, capability, pricing, and standards.
• Facilitate new service development through market insights, proposals, market studies, focus groups, consultant oversight, product launches, training, presentations, webinars, and conference calls.
• Manage research and development related to social and environmental audits, sustainable claims, climate change, traceability, and ESG reporting.
• Keep track of regional regulations and industry standards, communicating updates through technical bulletins and tools.
• Formulate client recommendations to address changing regulations and standards.
• Update or create methodologies with Global Operations to guarantee compliance.
• Address technical issues involving clients, internal teams, and sites.
• Develop and maintain protocols and test packages for regional client safety, regulatory compliance, product performance, and certification requirements.
• Provide market intelligence regarding the QHSE and Sustainability market in the Americas.
• Create proposals for new market opportunities and relevant acquisitions.
• Support the introduction of new products with marketing materials, training, presentations, seminars, and webinars.
• Ensure the successful launch of new products with regional clients, including meeting sales targets.
• MBA or relevant business experience preferred, with at least 5 years of progressive P&L responsibility.
• A minimum of a 4-year degree in a relevant Technical/Science, Environmental, or Chemistry discipline, or a related field.
• Preferred knowledge of management systems related to Sustainability Services, such as SA8000 or equivalent, and/or ISO standards including ISO 14000, ISO 18000, ISO 9000, ISO 17021, ISO 50001, ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, ISO 14067, PAS 2050, PAS 2060, GHG protocol, CDP, SBTI, CCER, GRI, SASB, TCFD, AA1000.
• Five (5) years of experience in a related technical field, including progressive management roles.
• Five (5) years of experience in a management position that encompasses technical leadership in Sustainability, quality assurance, product testing, or consumer product manufacturing.
• Five (5) years of experience in consumer products sectors.
• Proven experience in direct customer engagement.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the aforementioned qualifications.
• Ability to think strategically and adapt strategies to changing market dynamics.
• Demonstrated management capabilities, including organizational design, recruitment and retention, and personnel development.
• Proficient in marketing and market evaluation skills.
• Experience in client interaction and customer requirements analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Advanced training and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of technical concepts, processes, and equipment related to the assigned product line.
• General understanding of testing, audits, and technical consulting concepts, processes, and equipment.
• Strong computer skills with medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Experience with budgeting processes and sound business acumen.
