This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee all technical support responsibilities for the designated area on behalf of FMC.
β’ Collaborate closely with the sales team, regional sales leadership, regional technical manager, marketing, regulatory, product development, and other technical support staff.
β’ Manage university research testing funds, create training presentations, develop localized sales tools, and address customer complaints.
β’ Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of commercial agriculture, emerging technologies, and competitive chemistries and positioning.
β’ Foster relationships with university extension personnel and other influential figures in the territory.
β’ Assist in the preparation for FMC product launches and represent the company in publications and at field and industry events.
β’ Oversee, implement, and manage research testing funds and trial plans through the grant-in-aid budget.
β’ Develop and oversee support activities that align with FMC's annual goals and objectives.
β’ Coordinate testing programs with market trends and forthcoming development projects.
β’ Manage expenses, service-to-sales dollars, and budgets for product demonstrations.
β’ Provide technical product training, guidance for handling regional complaints, and agronomic expertise during complaint calls.
β’ Create training modules and deliver technical consulting and training to both internal and external audiences.
β’ Generate validation data for label updates and amendments, and assist regulatory teams with label-use instructions.
β’ Produce newsletters, technical recommendation sheets, and other sales materials.
β’ Review, edit, and approve technical, sales, marketing, and advertising communications.
β’ Enhance communication between regional technical support and internal functional groups.
β’ MS in Entomology, Plant Pathology/Physiology, Weed Science, Agronomy, or another agricultural-related science, or equivalent experience.
β’ 2β5 years of experience in technical support, selling crop protection chemicals, seeds, or agronomy services.
β’ Certified Crop Advisor or equivalent certification is preferred.
β’ Exceptional speaking, writing, and computer skills.
β’ Proficient knowledge of ARM.
β’ Ability to design protocols and research projects that demonstrate agronomic input features and benefits.
β’ Skill in summarizing technically complex information for audiences with limited technical knowledge.
β’ Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage contentious situations, and resolve conflicts.
β’ Capability to build, maintain, and service business relationships with customers, key retail account agronomy staff, and team members.
β’ Ability to make complex decisions with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
β’ Proficiency in negotiating effectively with customers, team members, and management.
β’ Experience leading projects or special assignments outside of the area/region with minimal guidance.
β’ Experience serving as a valuable technical resource within a sales organization.
