Technical Service Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Deliver unbranded technical support in the home country, overseeing the supervision of inward chick deliveries during the first 7 days of life at customers’ farms.

• Coordinate with the assigned technical manager on urgent technical matters.

• Translate and review technical literature to aid the local industry.

• Connect and collaborate with local industry associations or organizations.

• Collect local market intelligence.

• Accompany technical managers on regional visits to learn various service approaches and gain insight into customer environments and challenges.

• Assist in technical seminars and trade shows.

• Actively participate in industry organizations.

• Generate monthly technical reports and customer visit documentation.

• Comprehend customer goals and establish long-term business relationships to meet their requirements.

• Formulate plans and allocate resources to enhance product performance and achieve objectives.

• Collaborate with assigned clients to set and monitor technical service goals.

• Cultivate relationships with colleagues and both internal and external customers.

• Convey modern management practices within the local industry.

• Drive change and enhance product performance through effective persuasion.

• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date by communicating with Aviagen personnel and participating in Asia technical seminars/workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate degree in Agricultural or Rural studies with a focus on poultry or animal science is essential.

• At least 8 years of pertinent operational management experience within the industry.

• Preferably have experience in both breeder (GP and/or PS) and broiler management.

• A solid understanding of technical fundamentals related to hatchery practices, nutrition, and health is necessary.

• Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Vietnamese and English at a high level.

• Strong awareness of market conditions in the poultry industry.

• Knowledge of poultry technology and current best management practices in breeder and broiler production is required.

• Competence in computer skills, including spreadsheet creation, use of databases/CRM, formal report writing, creative presentation design, and economic modeling.

• Experience in production data analysis.

• Understanding and support for Aviagen's business objectives.

• A valid local driver’s license.
