This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee technical SEO initiatives across a range of client accounts.
• Participate in client calls to review reporting, anticipated outcomes, and technical strategies.
• Manage technical SEO efforts for both new and established clients.
• Supervise onboarding for new clients, which includes post-launch optimization, analytics configuration, and tracking setup.
• Analyze campaign performance metrics such as traffic, rankings, leads, and conversions.
• Keep up with changes in search algorithms, industry trends, and the influence of AI on search dynamics.
• Assist the team in integrating improved AI-supported workflows within technical SEO.
• Act as the authority on search optimization techniques.
• Delegate tasks and establish priorities for team members.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team personnel.
• Offer coaching, constructive feedback, and performance assistance.
• Review technical SEO outputs for precision and thoroughness.
• Identify and address workflow challenges to enhance team efficiency.
• Facilitate the onboarding and training of new SEO team members.
• Foster a team culture centered on continuous learning, accountability, and effective use of AI.
• Collaborate with the Search Manager to provide SEO insights for content briefs and calendars.
• Offer SEO guidance to influence content priorities.
• Communicate SEO requirements, technical input, and feedback to ensure successful website launches.
• Contribute to the creation of client education resources and organizational directives.
• Report to the Search Manager.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical SEO, including both strategy and hands-on execution.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring SEO team members.
• Deep understanding of crawlability, indexation, site architecture, schema, tracking, and site performance metrics.
• Experience managing technical SEO tasks across multiple client accounts.
• Proficient in WordPress.
• Strong familiarity with Google Search Console.
• Solid working knowledge of Google Analytics 4.
• Proficient in Google Tag Manager.
• Competent in using Screaming Frog.
• Familiar with Ahrefs, Semrush, Lumar, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse.
• Understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Awareness of AI-driven search capabilities and practical integration of AI in SEO processes.
• Exceptional English communication skills with the ability to articulate technical recommendations clearly.
• Preferred: experience in an agency setting, managing multiple clients or sites.
• Preferred: experience leading offshore or distributed teams.
• Preferred: experience with structured data and schema implementation.
• Preferred: familiarity with ticketing systems like Zendesk.
• Preferred: certifications in Google Analytics 4 or Google Search Console.
• Preferred: experience optimizing workflows and implementing AI tools in SEO tasks.
• Occasional travel may be required (less than 5%).
• Ability to work at a desk and utilize a computer for extended periods.
