This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team collaboration.
• Oversee the JIRA backlog while communicating updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and team status.
• Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to prioritize tasks and ensure timely project delivery.
• Design and implement an embedded I/O framework that supports various protocols and data interfaces.
• Develop and test avionics software utilizing C and Python programming languages.
• Define and uphold data dictionaries, interface specifications, and technical requirements.
• Create, review, and sustain both high- and low-level requirements ensuring complete traceability.
• Contribute to the development of scalable, reusable, and maintainable software architecture.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded software development or testing.
• Background as a Scrum Master, technical lead, or team lead within a software setting.
• Proficient in embedded C and Python programming.
• Experience in developing embedded software for the avionics sector.
• Familiarity with Python versions 2.7 and 3.12.
• Knowledgeable in I/O architecture, protocol management, memory organization, and C data structures.
• Proven experience in generating, reviewing, and tracking high- and low-level requirements.
• Competent in managing JIRA backlogs and effectively communicating team progress.
• Demonstrates strong initiative, organizational abilities, and a quick learning aptitude.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with LynxOS, VxWorks, Makefiles, NXP T2080 processors, DOORS, Trace32, socket programming, and Python concurrency.
• Knowledge of hardware interfacing or device driver development.
• Familiar with avionics and video protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 818, MIL-STD-1553, AFDX, CAN, SPI, and UART.
• Experience in designing non-volatile storage solutions using EEPROM, flash, or NVRAM.
• Understanding of persistent and transient logging, rollover, retention policies, and log transport mechanisms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD toolchains, configuration management, and software verification processes.
• Proven ability to integrate systems across various platforms and configure network communications.
• Experience with dynamic resolution 2D or 3D video systems.
• Capable of strategic thinking and designing reusable software frameworks.
• Experience in adopting and/or integrating emerging technologies for continuous operational improvement.
