This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +10 more states.
• Promote and provide support for software, instruments, and consumables from the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD).
• Drive consistent revenue growth for designated product lines and geographical areas.
• Identify and prioritize potential new clients and coordinate actions for market penetration.
• Assist Account Managers in identifying opportunities and implementing sales strategies.
• Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and serve as a technical advisor.
• Oversee the sales process from initial prospecting to closing deals.
• Relay customer feedback to the Business Unit.
• Participate in technical visits to Business Unit, manufacturing facilities, R&D sites, and demonstration centers.
• Support the introduction of new products to enhance adoption and revenue.
• Lead sales pipeline and forecasting activities in collaboration with country leads and sales teams.
• Utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, and introduce new products and services accordingly.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific authorities.
• Represent CMD at seminars and customer workshops.
• Share account insights and sales leads across different commercial divisions.
• Collaborate with internal resources in a team-selling approach.
• Mentor, guide, and inspire the account-management team.
• Coordinate with sales, field application, lab application, and IES specialists.
• Maintain expertise in relevant software, including chromatography data systems and laboratory workflows.
• Position software capabilities within the analytical and digital environments of customers.
• Train country sales teams on the selling and positioning of assigned product lines.
• Maintain technical knowledge and represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at customer sites.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the analytical or related instrument market, managing complex, high-value accounts.
• A bachelor's degree in a scientific field is required.
• A master’s degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and business insights within the industry sector, along with key trends, is preferred.
• Experience with chromatography data systems (CDS) and laboratory informatics software.
• Familiarity with Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS) or similar platforms is highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting seminars and delivering presentations.
• A commercial mindset and a proven track record of pursuing new business opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and additional languages as required for the assigned region.
• Demonstrated commercial excellence in a matrix environment.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical features of scientific product portfolios.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80%, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
