This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Lead sales initiatives across all levels within the designated territory.
• Implement sales strategies both independently and collaboratively.
• Identify and pursue new accounts, cultivate relationships, and promote the Autocar value proposition to secure new business.
• Concentrate on the “Top 20” companies, fleets, and contractors.
• Achieve profitable growth and enhance market share.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts in the Construction sector and major fleet customers.
• Act as the main point of contact for regional fleet clients.
• Formulate regional sales strategies tailored to Construction fleet customers.
• Meet or surpass sales objectives through direct engagement with end users.
• Discover new business opportunities and market segments via data analysis.
• Assist the sales team in developing sales presentations for potential clients.
• Collaborate with fleet managers and stakeholders to evaluate operational needs.
• Provide solutions that align with customer specifications and Autocar truck features.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Communicate customer insights to internal product engineering teams to influence product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product offerings and customized vocational solutions.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in outside sales within the Heavy Truck, Construction, or related industries.
• Extensive knowledge of trucks with the capability to consult and promote preference for Autocar.
• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage personal call schedules and daily planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in building relationships with diverse external and internal stakeholders.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and CRM tool usage.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong work ethic, ambition for success, and commitment to achieving results.
• Quick learner who requires minimal oversight and possesses strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Team-oriented individual with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Proven success in selling premium, high-value Construction products and/or services.
• Direct experience in successful Business-to-Business Heavy Truck OEM/Dealer Territory Sales is preferred.
• Experience in territory sales within the Construction and Service Sectors may also be considered.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance of a commercial airport.
• Capable of covering California, Florida, Texas, or Mid-West regions.
